Dimdaijang church celebrates golden jubilee

Imphal, October 02 2024: The golden jubilee celebration of Dimdaijang Baptist Church, SBA, was held at its Thangmeiband complex on Wednesday with Thangmeiband MLA Khumukcham Joykisan, SBA president SR Khupsel, SBA executive secretary Keisung Panmei, Chingkhulong Baptist Church pastor Langandim Panmei, MBCCCI pastor Zuankamang Daimei, SBA vice-president Namsibou Newmai, former solicitor general of India and advocate Kamei Alin Rongmei and Tharon Baptist Church pastor Asapou Malangmei as members on the dais.

As part of the celebration, a monolith was unveiled and a souvenir released.

Speaking on the side-lines, Alin Rongmei expressed joy as the church established in 1974 completed 50 years and compared the event as salvation for the community.

Stating that there is no place better than 'our' own state, which is also referred to the land of jewels, he called upon all indigenes of Manipur to unite and collectively fight elements challenging the emotional integrity and work towards bringing peace at the earliest.
