Imphal, November 01 2024: Police have arrested a cadre of the armed KCP from Lamphel area in connection with the assault of two individuals from Senapati in Lamsang area in the early hours of October 31 .

According to police control room statement, the arrested person has been identified as Senjam Suraj Meitei (25), son of S Nilakomol of Lamsang.

A case has been registered, and interrogation of the suspect is currently underway as the investigation continues, the statement said.

Mention may be made that several organisations strongly condemned the incident.

A joint statement of NPO, SDSA and SDWA alleged involvement of Arambai Tenggol (AT) behind the incident, Which the AT denied while pointing fingers at KCP (Ibungo Ngangom) group, which the latter denied as well.
