Slopeland CTE granted NAAC accreditation

Slopeland College of Teachers Education, Salt Village Khongjom has become the first BEd College in the state to get National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accreditation, according to the college principal Nahakpam Babulin.
Addressing a press meet at the college premises on Thursday, Babulin informed that NAAC peer team assessed the college for two days on June 13 and 14 after which the college was granted B-Grade NAAC accreditation.
The college was established in 2014 and it is offering B Ed, BCA and BBA courses with an intake capacity of 100 for B Ed and 50 each for BCA and BBA.
It has adequate hostel facility for both men and women, he said.
As per NCTE rules, all B Ed colleges should be composite institution, which is why Slopeland College of Teachers Education is also offering BCA and BBA courses.
At the same time, the National Education Policy requires all higher education institutes to have NAAC accreditation, Babulin explained and thanked Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Teaching and non-teaching staff, alumni and well-wishers for their support and contribution towards getting the NAAC accreditation.
