Imphal, May 31 2022: Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) distributed essential items that included water filters, educational charts, sports kits, stationery items and eateries to students of Government Primary School, Modi in Chandel district on Monday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the sports, educational and other items were handed over to 25 students and five staff members.

Meanwhile, Mantripukhri Battalion IGAR (South) organised a cleanliness drive under Swach Bharat Abhiyan at Leishemba Maheikol English School in Imphal East district on Tuesday to sensitise the students about the importance of a clean and healthy environment.

As part of the drive, an interactive lecture on 'Clean and Healthy Environment' was conducted and students were also educated on global warming, its harmful effects and the benefits of tree plantation to counter it.'Students and school staff also took part in cleanliness drive.
