Indrajit conferred Leirikmacha Award

Imphal, December 31 2021: The biannual Thiyam Leirikmacha International Award given by Sahitya Thoupang Lup to Manipuris settling in Bangladesh, who preserve and promote their culture and literature, for this year has been conferred to Bangladesh Manipuri writer Khoirom Indrajit.

The award was presented during a function organised by Sahitya Thoupang Lup in coordination with Bangladesh Manipuri Sahitya Sangsad at Nazzrul Academ hall, Sylhet, Bangladesh on Friday.

The award carries Rs 10,000 in cash, a citation and a shawl.

The award presentation function was attended by noted Bangladesh folk researcher Abdul Fateh Fattah and noted Bangladeshi poet Pulin Rai among others.
