Final arguments of the ongoing Upendra Commission probing into the June 18 and July 20 incidents entered the third day today at Kuki Inn.
Advocate P Tomcha who appeared in favor of the victims pointed out various lapses of the Government in particular the manner of clamping curfew and security arrangements.
He will continue his submission on November 27.Earlier in the day the Commission recorded statements of one Ibotombi Singh who is a Deputy Secretary in the Manipur Legislative Assembly.
He recalled that the State Assembly had on four occasion passed resolutions to safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur.
As far as his knowledge is concerned, executions of resolutions adopted by the Assembly are done by the ministers concerned and added that the Assembly Secretariat do not send the resolutions of the Assembly directly to the Government of India or any functionaries of the same.
