Even as the indefinite cease work strike of the employees JAC has entered the 20th day, the JAC today reaffirmed it's stand saying it will continue the strike until the demands are met.
In a statement, JAC said that woman Government employees today submitted a memorandum to the Governor urging him to hold negotiations with the JAC.
The 16 points memorandum submitted to the Governor also made known that the employees will not draw their salaries until the order to slash allowances is revoked, the statement said.
A team of teachers and JAC members today closed down a few schools in the city, it added.
The employees� apex body also said that it has sought an explanation from Chandel district treasury officer on reports that he had passed the pay bills of the 8th MR on November 2 while he took leave on the same day.
Meanwhile, MPSC Employees Association has clarified that it has neither submitted nor passed any pay bill at the Treasury.
It also expressed firm support to the ongoing strike.
The Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat Assistant/Upper/Lower Divisional Assistants Welfare Association has appealed to the Government to bring an early solution to the impasse.
In a statement, it said it fully supports the agitation and denied passing any pay bill.
The Medical Department Employees' Association said that the Government cannot book the employees working in essential services as it has not been providing essential commodities to them.
Making an appeal to the medical employees to actively join the strike, in a statement, the association urged those working in security services no to force passing of pay bills.
