CADA conducts academic awareness campaign

As part of its ongoing campaign to curb the menace of intoxicated drugs and alcohol from the state, Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) organised an academic awareness programme on the theme of "impact of drugs on students" at Jehovah Jiren English School, Thamnapokpi, yesterday.
The programme was attended by Director, Jehovah Jiren English School, Pukhrambam Naocha, Vice-president, CADA, Ningthoujam Doren and President, CADA, Bishnupur District Committee, Huiningsungbam (O) Basanti as presidium members.

Geetchandra Mangang as the resource person of the programme said that using tobacco product is the beginning of gateway to the drugs.
He added that the drug users did not begin from heroin no.4 or opium.
He appealed to the students not to use any kinds of drugs and intoxicated substances that can lead a nightmare future.
He further appealed the students to focus and channel their energy on studies.
He educates the students about the ill effect of using drugs and substance abuse on our health.
