Revenue Minister's visit to Indo-Myanmar border cancelled

Revenue Minister Karam Shyam's propose visits to Indo-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district to take stock of the controversial border pillar No.81 which was reportedly reinstated 3 kilometres inside the Manipur territory has been cancelled today.
Reason for the cancellation was not let known to the media but source said that security reason due to the enforcement of large number of Myanmar Army at the disputed border area might have been the reason.
Report said that Sports Minister Letpao Haokip, TD Minister N.Kyaisii, MLA Rameshwar, MLA Seityabratta, MLA Leisio , MLA Korungthang, ADC Chandel, Tengnoupal district Deputy Commissioner, District SP and other related government officials had already prepared to visit the disputed site at the Indo-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district.
However, the visit was suddenly cancelled for reason not early today morning.
Source said that after civil society organisations' visit to the Kwatha Village and painted black colour to the reinstated border pillar and following the Deputy Commissioner's rejection to the erection of the border pillar No.81 to the directives of the Survey of India authority and the Chief Minister's strong stand to protect the boundary of the state had alerted the Myanmar authority.
This morning show large number of Myanmar Army thronging at the disputed site and intelligence reports cautions the Minister's visit as it would spark tension between the two countries , the source added.
