Conference of CPI branches held

A conference of CPI Moirangkhunou and Thanga Lawai branches was held today at Moirangkhunou Meira Shanglen, Thanga Assembly Constituency, Bishnupur.
The conference was organised by CPI Thanga Local Council.
President of CPI Moirangkhunou branch, Moirangthem Itocha; CPI Manipur Council, assistant secretaries M Joykumar, Kh Surchand and M Mangi attended the conference as presidium members.
At the conference, apart from appointing Chirom Ibopishak as branch secretary, 12 individuals were also inducted in the executive body of the CPI branch.
At the event, M Joykumar extended solidarity to the families of deceased who lost their lives while protesting against CAA at Delhi.
Condemning the death of many lives at Delhi violence, he accused the Central Government for the anti-social elements indulged in violent incidents in Delhi.
During the conference, the party demanded 100 days of paid work for job cardholders of Moirangkhunou Gram Panchayat under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and potable water for every household of the said GP.
The gathering also chanted slogans against CAA, NRC and NPR.
