JCILPS dismisses police claim

Imphal, June 24 2016 : The JCILPS has categorically stated that the committee is not related with Khwairakpam Mangi alias Yaima who was reportedly arrested by police with explosive materials.

Speaking to media persons this evening, JCILPS convenor BK Moirangcha asserted that Khwairakpam Mangi alias Yaima s/o Kondum of Yurembam Makha Leikai is not related with JCILPS in any manner.

Whereas police claimed that Khwairakpam Mangi alias Yaima was publicity in-charge of JCILPS Sagolband area, BK Moirangcha said that there is no Sagolband branch or unit.

Khwairakpam Mangi alias Yaima is not known to JCILPS, he continued.

He then appealed to all the people not to take the name of JCILPS if they are not members of the committee.

He expressed strong suspicion if some Government agencies are executing some hidden agenda one after another with an ulterior motive to sabotage the ongoing mass movement just as they did earlier by declaring Khomdram Ratan a wanted man.

Pointing out that the mass movement being spearheaded by JCILPS is for protection of all the indigenous people of the land, BK Moirangcha appealed to all concerned not to pursue any hidden agenda which may sabotage the ongoing mass movement.
