Imphal, October 22 2019:
Candidates who passed the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (MCSCCE) Examinations 2016 and were given appointments before the said examination was quashed, have announced that they respect the ruling of the High Court of Manipur and have no doubts regarding any investigation carried out in this regard as well.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today on behalf of all the MCSCC Examinations 2016 successful students, one Tongbram Bimolchand said that the High Court ruling of October 18, which quashed the examination result, mentions that there were many inconsistencies in the examination.
However, there is no report which pinpoints or identifies any candidate as having resorted to unethical means in the said examination.
He continued that the candidates do not have the right to criticise or challenge the High Court ruling, but they are consulting various experts to see what can be done in this regard.
Replying to a query if the candidates will approach the Supreme Court, Bimolchand said that it is possible.
On the other hand, on the reports doing the rounds on social media regarding the successful candidates not wanting to reveal their answer sheets, he explained that the successful candidates do not have any issues with re-checking the answer sheets but only wish for a proper and official time and place to do so.
Speaking about the comparison of MCSCC Exam 2016 with Assam Public Service Commission incident, Bimolchand clarified that in the case of the ASPC, a candidate was caught bribing and the incident did not affect the complete exam in any way.
