Railway team to arrive today

Imphal, September 22 2011:
A high level official team of Northern Frontier (NF) Railway is scheduled to arrive here tomorrow to hold minute discussions on the ongoing Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal rail project.
Arriving here with a packed schedule, the railway team will hold wideranging deliberations in separate meetings on issues related to land disputes, security aspects as well as accessibility of National Highway 37 .
It is informed that the NF Frontier delegation led by its recently appointed General Manager (Construction) Smt Vijayakant will assess progress of the ongoing rail-line construction work.
Soon after arrival tomorrow morning, the team has a schedule to meet the Chief Minister during which focus will be on the status of the ongoing project.
Apart from the Chief Minister, the government of Manipur will be represented at the meeting by the Transport Minister, Chief Secretary, director General of Police, Commissioner (Home), Commissioner (Revenue), Principal Secretary (Transport) and Director (Transport), who is also the State Nodal Officer of Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Rail-line.
Another meeting is scheduled in the afternoon between the visiting delegates and top civil and security officials of the State Government.
The other members of NF Railway team will comprise of Chief Administrative Officer AS Shevara, chief Engineer (Construction) of the said project Mohon Lal and N Bramha, who is the secretary cum Technical Advisor of the General Manager (Construction) .
