Imphal, August 21 2020: Living Arts Academy Manipuri (LAAMAN) Thang-Ta has today organised "Festival of Thang-Ta" under the sponsorship of Sankeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi at the academy's office at Sagolband Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

The programme organised with strict adherence to the SOP guidelines issued by the Government on account of the COVID-19 outbreak was attended by Chungkham Sunilkumar, Principal of the LAAMAN Thang-Ta and Kakchingtabam Manglem Sharma, former vice president of the thang-ta academy as the chief guest and the functional president.

In his speech during the function, the chief guest lauded the enthusiasm of the Thang-Ta students.

Encouraging them for their spirit and dedication towards the discipline (thang-ta), he said that the academy could not extend much help due to COVID-19 outbreak but assured them to impart the best the academy can.

Calling on the students to follow the steps of the forefather who stood their ground at the face of adversities valiantly, he urged all to face the pandemic boldly by following the safety guidelines and practices.

Saying that the spread of the contagion has forced all to stay at home, he appealed to all the students to keep practicing at their own yards and stay healthy.
