Imphal, August 21 2015 :
All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) on Friday expressed concern on Friday that Manipur has witnessed protesters acting on their own will in the current Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) movement by ignoring the requests of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) .
A statement issued by AMUCO, however, admitted that the ILPS protest was indeed vigorous and said the people also need a serious reflection on any conflict that arises between communities.
The body said the people should keep vigil as there were the possibility of creating enmity among all the communities in the State.
The bond among the ethnic groups may break due to such incitements, AMUCO cautioned.
It added that the Indo-Naga peace process is said to be nearing completion within three months' time and doubted the assurance given by national parties that Manipur's territorial boundary will not be affected by the peace deal between the Government of India and NSCN (IM) .
The organization insisted that adopting the system of two different administrations within a single State will not be a good policy for a State like Manipur even as its territorial integrity is not disturbed by such plans.
Introducing Assam's Karbi model of autonomy in Manipur will be bad for the tiny State, it said.
AMUCO said the hope for formation of a pan Naga body by a community without having territory amuses everyone and cautioned that it might become a political reality.
It appealed to all civil society groups and people to unite together and prepare for a series of agitations by preventing hostility with any community at this crucial hour.
