NSUI extends support to MU community agitations
demands resignation of VC AP Pandey on Moral ground

National Students' Union of India (NSUI) Manipur state today extended support the ongoing agitation by Manipur University community demanding removal of the Vice Chancellor Adiya Prasad Pandey saying that the body will organise mass protest at New Nelhi in consultation with its head office.
Speaking to reporters today afternoon at its office room general secretary of Manipur State NSUI N.Samananda said that the deteriorating education atmosphere in the state is not a signed of good governance and the government inability to find a solution to the present impasse id unfortunate.
Reacting to the Chief Minister's N.Biren statement at which he stated that the MU community are not allowing the fact finding committee, Samananda said that the fact finding committee formed to investigate the matter has already been rejected by not only the Manipur University community but also by the people of the state.
The demand is constitution of an enquiry committee under the commission of enquiry act which is head by a retd.Judge from any high court.
The NSUI State general secretary further said that it is very unfortunate for the BJP led government of the state which had gone to Dekhi to apprise on the situation and return back empty hand without finding any solution.
The student leader of the NSUI further said that appointment of head of institution should not be made to any persons who are affiliated to political parties.
The NSUI Manipur State unit general secretary also condemn the Anti National tagged to MU community and demanded immediate revocation of such tagged.
On the other hand the NSUI Manipur state unit appealed students who had failed to get admission because of the ongoing impasse at Manipur University.
He said government should make arrangement to make sure that no student loss academic career because of the present impasse resulted from an inefficient Vice Chancellor.
The NUSI Manipur state also condemn the irregularities occurring in the Board of Secondary Examination.
Samananda said that the committee formed for inquiry of the mark tabulation matter after a student claimed 8 more mark as per his finding should be completed without wasting time.
