Loitam Richard , Okram Laaba's death: Political parties' offices picketted

Continuing the demand for justice regarding the deathsof Richard and Laaba, six students' bodies of the State have again picketted the office of three political parties today.
Students activists of AMSU, MSF, DESAM, KSA, SUK and SWAK picketted the State Office of the All India Trinamool Congress located at Hotel Excellency premises, Keishampat, Airport Road around noon today.
Later the student activists picketted the office of the MSCP at Palace Compound and the State Office of NCP at Thangmeiband.
Significantly, the party flags of MSCP and NCP were also pulled down by the activists.
Addressing a press meet at the office of SUK later, general secretary of DESAM, Arambam Thoithoi said the student bodies had not lifted the ban imposed on all political parties.
He said the step has been initiated against the alleged 'indifferent attitude' of the political parties in Richard and Laaba's death cases while further reiterating its demand that the cases be handed over to the CBI.
Warning all concerned to refrain from entering the political parties' offices, Thoithoi cautioned that any result arising out of defying the ban would be borne by the individual.
eanwhile, intensifying the demand for justice in the death of Richard and Laaba, the effigies of Karnataka CM Sadananda Gowda, Manipur CM O Ibobi and Union Home Minister P Chibambaram were burnt today at Sega Road and Keishampat.
It may be mentioned that Loitam Richard, a student of Acharya's NRV College of Architecture, Bangalore was found dead inside his hostel room in a suspicious manner on April 18 .
Okram Laaba, a BCA student of Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Chennai was found dead inside his hostel room on June 22 last year.
