Family demands investigation to unnatural death of a youth

Imphal, February 21 2021: Family of a 23 years old youth, identified as Chungkham Birjit Singh, a resident of Kwakeithel Lamdong Leikai, Imphal West, who was found unconscious on the evening of February 15 and later declared dead on arrival at RIMS today demands investigation to the cause of his death.

As per information provided by the father of the deceased Chabungbam Brojen Singh, his late son work as construction labourer and went out from his home for construction work.

He was later found motionless at around 7 pm of February 15 at the sidewall of a house located opposition to their house.

He was immediately taken to RIMS but declared dead as they reached the hospital.

The family suspect murder as CCTV footage collected by them show some people dropping him at the place after carrying him on an red Activa Honda.

Post mortem was conducted with video record and all related evidences about suspects of murder has been submitted to the Singjamei Police station.

The family member urged government to investigate over the matter at the earliest and demanded punishment of those involved in the murder of late Birjit if established.
