Imphal, April 20 2022: Former Judge of Gauhati High Court Justice Asok Potsangbam breathed his last at Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, today.

He was 73 .

Justice Asok Potsangbam was born on April 21, 1949 at Khagempali Pankha and completed his LLB from Delhi University in 1974 .

During his lifetime, Justice Asok served as a secretary of All India Bar Association, North East Unit, president of Assam State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and as Advocate General of Manipur for three terms.

He was appointed as an Additional Judge of Gauhati High Court on September 26, 2007 and retired from the Court on May 31, 2013 .

He started practising law as an Advocate under late Justice Nongmeikapam Ibotombi.

Reportedly, the mortal remains of Justice Asok will be brought to Imphal tomorrow.
