Imphal, September 18 2015 : With a view to promote tourism in the State and showcase the mesmerising beauty of historic Moirang during the Sangai Festival, renovation work at Sendra Park and Resort by the Classic Hotel is well under way.

Sendra, one of the famous tourist spots in Manipur, was operated by Manipur Tourism Department before being entrusted to Classic Hotel on March 4, 2014 .

In a span of just one year, Classic Hotel has been able to repair four independent cottages which include a bedroom, a kitchen and a bathroom.

Each cottage charges Rs 2750 (including service fee) per day.

Besides the superior standard of accommodation, the cottages also provide breathtaking view of Loktak Lake.

With more than 200 people visiting Sendra Park and Resort everyday, 24 people are employed to meet the requirements of the tourists.

At present, construction of six deluxe rooms and a luxury banquet hall is underway.

The construction work is expected to complete by September end or early October this year in order to boost the tourism sector in the State particularly during the Sangai Festival.
