SP capsules worth over Rs 2 Cr seized

Imphal, December 16 2024: A large number of SP caps ales worth around Rs 2.50 crore in international market were seized by a combined team of village volunteers and the Youth Anti Drug Association (YADA) from Kshetrigao, Imphal East today.

On receiving specific inputs about the presence of some drug dealers at some places of Kshetrigao area, the combined team of village volunteers and YADA raided the suspected place and they managed to pull up some drug abusers.

On questioning, the drug abusers disclosed the places from where they purchased the drugs.

Immediately, the combined team rushed to the location of the drug dealers and they managed to seize a large number of SP capsules.

Some other drug abusers and drug dealers were pulled up in further raids carried out by the combined team in Kshetrigao areas.

The drugs seized by the combined team were later disposed of by setting ablaze at a location in Imphal West district.

YADA secretary Yumkhaibam Najakat, meanwhile, appealed to all the people to support the ongoing campaign of village volunteers and YADA to eradicate the menace of drugs from Manipur.

He also appealed to the people of Kshetrigao to support YADA and village volunteers when they come after drugs and drug dealers instead of creating any ruckus.
