Covid Vaccination Express launched

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Ranjan Yumnam and Oinam AC MLA, L Radhakishore Singh on Tuesday flagged off Covid Vaccination Express for Bishnupur district at Mini Secretariat complex, Bishnupur.
The programme was organized by District Health Society, Bishnupur in association with District Family Welfare, Bishnupur.
Speaking on the occasion, Ranjan Yumnam extended his gratitude to the State Government for the relentless efforts in combating the pandemic besides providing vehicles to deliver vaccination services to the people.
Expressing his desire to make Bishnupur a fully vaccinated and Covid-free district at the earliest, Ranjan Yumnam also appealed to the people to get themselves vaccinated.

The DC further informed that local clubs or organisation of any village in the district with more than 20 unvaccinated persons may contact the District Covid Vaccination Planning team under CMO Bishnupur on the mobile number '8131942463' to book an appointment for vaccination.
ADM Bishnupur H Bobby, CMO Bishnupur Dr L Raichandra and other officials also attended the function.
Similarly, Tamenglong district has also started Covid vaccination of all eligible people above the age of 18 years by 10 teams of Care India Covid vaccination project on Tuesday.
Care India would be conducting the drive under the name 'Covid vaccine express' in 10 vehicles, out of which 3 teams would be for Tamei PHC, 2 teams each for Tousem & Oinamlong PHCs and 3 teams for Tamenglong block.
The Care India team comprised 13 Nurses, 14 DEOs, 10 vehicles with drivers and free basic AEFI kit.
SELCO Foundation, India would also provide their assistance with two 4x4 vehicles, eight vaccinators to improve the vaccination rate of Tamenglong district.
Moreover, District Administration and District Health Society, Tamenglong have appealed to the public to co-operate with the team and provide their assistance in vaccinating all the willing 18 years and above eligible people.
The District Administration also urged all the villages authority chairman/secretary/members and pastors/Church leaders to provide their assistance in mobilizing the people for Covid vaccination and to assist in accommodating the vaccination team whenever required.
During the drive, the team would organise daily vaccination sessions at CVCs except on holidays.
House to house vaccination drives would also be conducted village-wise in the district and sub-divisional headquarters.
