Joykisan sets record straight

Imphal, January 15 2022: Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has categorically stated that neither were there any instances of him misappropriating people's benefit nor attempt to hoodwink the masses.

Addressing a simple function at Neikalong today, the MLA continued that Jyotin Waikhom depicting him as a person who embezzled rice meant for the people sounds more like a joke as Jyotin himself used to be a rice agent.

Claiming that Jyotin also collected subsidized rice during the Covid pandemic, Joykisan maintained that the person is resentful as he (Jyotin) was not given a free hand to claim the rice.

Jyotin must know that it is the district authority that distributes rice through FPS agents, he said.

The statements given by Jyotin pertaining to the NISA club are all baseless, Joykisan continued and added that he didn't interfere in any matter related to the club building.

Joykisan further stated that there is no point in arguing about the construction of community halls, youth clubs and meira paibi sheds in the last 10 years as the public see the truth.

Urging Jyotin to stop playing politics from the comfort of his room, the MLA urged him to stop raising unfounded allegations constantly.

"Instead of exchanging words, it's better to engage in action oriented politics," he opined.

The MLA appealed to the people to adhere to the standard operating procedure for Covid to avoid infections.
