Har Ghar Tiranga campaign continues

Joining the rest of the country, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was carried out across the State today to commemorate 75 glorious years of India's Independence.
CHURACHANDPUR
Singngat AC MLA, Chinlunthang hoisted the Indian National Flag today at the historical site of Zou Gal Cemetery Complex, Behiang, Singngat Sub-Division.
He also paid homage to all those who were part of Zou Gal for their outstanding courage and sacrifice.
The event was organised by District Administration Churachandpur as a part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to commemorate 75 years of India's independence.
At the event, Chinlunthang stated that the Ministry of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur under the supervision of Chief Minister N Biren Singh has been trying to figure out unsung heroes and freedom fighters of the country and honour them during the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
"Today, we are honoured and proud to have forefathers who fought against the colonial British and dared to sacrifice their precious lives to protect our land, dignity, and liberty during the Zou-British war of 1917-19", he added.
The MLA also recalled the sacrifice of martyrs like David Manlun; Colonel Viplav Tripathi, his family and 4 other soldiers who laid down their lives in the ambush within Behiang range.
As a part of the observation, SDO/BDO of Singngat, Namlalung Gangmei; Post Commander of 46 AR.
Behiang outpost, Kennedy Maring; Officer In-charge of Behiang Police Station, Rishikesh Sharma; chiefs, tribe leaders and students paid homage by offering floral tributes to Zou freedom fighters who were part of 1317-1919 Zou Gal.
They also planted tree saplings to mark the occasion.
KAKCHING
As part of HGT campaign, DC Kakching, Somorjit Salam hoisted the National Flag today at DC Office Complex Kakching.
A rally was also held from Kakching Sumak Leikai playground to Kakching Keithel to spread awareness of the HGT campaign.
It was participated by students, NCC cadets, ASHAs, Anganwadi workers, police personnel and staff of different Departments.
KANGPOKPI
Textiles, Commerce & Industry and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen today unfurled the tricolour at her residence in Kangpokpi town.
Earlier, the Minister called upon the people of her constituency to join the HGT campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate India's 75th anniversary of Independence by hoisting the tricolor from their homes.
The flag hoisting event was attended by BJP Kangpokpi Mandal president, Thanglensei Kipgen, leaders representing various tribes and communities of Kangpokpi AC, Kangpokpi town local bodies, BJP leaders and karyakartas.
Later, Nemcha Kipgen also led a short rally towards Brig M Thomas Ground.
NONEY
As part of HGT campaign, District Administration Noney carried out a mass rally from Noney Bazar Bridge Point to Longmai Common Ground.
It was participated by Assam Rifles Noney Battalion, Territorial Army Noney Post, CRPF Noney, District Health Society Noney, Forest Department, MSPDCL Noney, PHED Noney Division, ZEO Noney, PLVs Noney Legal Aid Clinic, CSC Noney, students, ASHAs & Anganwadi workers, Longmai Bazar Youth Club members, motor biker teams and police personnel.
SENAPATI
As part of HGT campaign, HL Jain, MCS, Additional District Magistrate flagged off a rally today from TNK village gate.
The rally participated by teachers & students under ZEO and ADC, anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, NYK volunteers, police personnel and government officials & staff went from TNK village gate to Traffic point.
Later, Senapati District Police organised a drawing competition at Multipurpose Hall, Rikhumai Taphou.
ZEO and ADC Senapati also jointly organised spot painting competitions for students.
TENGNOUPAL
As part of the HGT campaign, 42 Tengnoupal BJP Mandal also organised a Indian National Flag Hoisting Programme cum Cleanliness drive at Moreh Town.
A team led by BJP Tengnoupal Mandal president, L Yamthang Mate also distributed the National flag in Moreh Keithel area.
THOUBAL
DC Thoubal, A Subhash Singh hoisted the tricolor flag at DC office and DC Bungalow today as part of HGT campaign.
Flags were also hoisted at Leishangthem PHC, Health & Wellness Centre Tekcham, Urban Primary Health Centre Phouden, Lilong and Thoubal Veterinary hospital, Food Safety Administration Thoubal, Thoubal Forest Division Office and Office of the District Supply Officer.
Moreover, to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and promote HGT campaign, BJP Heirok Mandal under the supervision of Heirok AC MLA, Dr Thokchom Radheshyam organised a Marathon Race at Heirok.
The marathon was flagged off by Dr Thokchom Radheshyam.
Earlier, the MLA also led a mass rally from Heirok Part III, Kabo Leikai.

former chairpersons of Shikhong Sekmai & Heirok Municipal Council, BJP councillors and members of BJP Heirok Mandal took part in the rally.
ASSAM RIFLES
As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) conducted various activities to celebrate 75 years of India's Independence and promote the HGT campaign.
Awareness lectures as part of the HGT campaign were held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ramva, Sakpao, Singcha & Maku village by Shangshak Battalion, said a release issued by IGAR(S).
Somsai Battalion conducted rallies at Tusom Christian village, Awankasom and Kharasom of Ukhrul District.
The Battalion also conducted drill training for NCC cadets of St Joseph College at Somsai.
Moreover, Tengnoupal Battalion also organised the HGT campaign at Kampang Khunao and Kwatha villages in Tengnoupal district.
