Imphal, February 12 2025: In a significant development, Secretary to Governor Sumant Singh has flown to New Delhi with a recommendation of the Governor to resolve the political crisis in Manipur.

Sumant Singh's sudden trip to New Delhi with a recommendation to resolve the Manipur's political crisis has sparked significant interest.

According to a well placed source, the Governor may have recommended putting the State Assembly under suspended animation.

Sumant Singh departed from Imphal's Bir Tikendrajit International Airport at approximately 5.20 pm.

Governor Ajay Bhalla had earlier held rounds of meetings with the ruling MLAs and BJP's North East Coordinator Sambit Patra after N Biren Singh resigned as the Chief Minister.

It is reported that the Central leadership may intervene anytime to resolve the internal conflict among the ruling MLAs.
