Imphal, February 12 2016 : RIMS Director Prof S Rita today inaugurated the 44th Annual National Conference of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which is known as IAPMRCON 2016 at RIMS jubilee hall today.

The conference which is organised by Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department of RIMS will go on till February 14 .

The inaugural function was attended by RIMS Director Prof S Rita, IAPMRCON organising committee chairman Dr Akoijam Joy, IAPMR secretary Dr Thirunavukkarasu P, PMR Head of AIMS, Dr U Singh, CMC, Vellore former Director Dr Suranjan Bha- ttacharji and IAPMR president Dr SL Yadav as chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.

In her speech Prof S Rita lauded Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department (RIMS) for hosting the National level conference in Imphal.

She said that PMR is getting popular fast at RIMS as well due to punctuality, sincerity and good team work of the Department.

She also appreciated the Department for taking up two vital issues for the conference � philosophy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and competency based on education.
