Free medical camp, eye check-up conducted

In a bid to provide some relief and enhance the well-being of the conflict survivors, Saina Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) Helping Group today organised a free medical camp at Lamjing Meira Maheikol in Saiton, Bishnupur district.
During the medical camp, free health examination/ consultation was provided to the displaced children who are studying at Lamjing Meira Maheikol and their parents/ guardians.
Services including blood group test, blood sugar test, HIV test, etc were also provided to about 150 students of Lamjing Meira Maheikol.
Speaking on the occasion, SIMS former managing director Dr S Kumar said that the camp was conducted to provide free medical care to the people from remote areas who are unable to access proper healthcare facilities.

He asserted that similar camps will be organised at various places to help keep children healthy & fit.
Dr S Kumar also extended his gratitude to Manipur Chemists & Druggists Association (MCDA) and Lamjing Meira Maheikol for their support in the successful conduct of the camp.
A one day free medical camp was also held at Leimaram relief camp today jointly organised by UCOBID and UVACO in connection with the 31st foundation day of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) which will be held tomorrow (February 12) .
A team of doctors and staff of Care and Cure Hospital, Lamphel took the major responsibility in examining the health concerns of around 120 individuals in today's medical camp.
Apart from the above, free medicines were distributed and ultrasound scanning facilities were also provided.
Meanwhile, North Eastern Dance & Drama Academy in collaboration with Dr Helena Eye Hospital also organised a 1-day free eye check-up camp at Chingkhei Guru Community Hall, Moirangkampu Sajeb Awang Leikai.
During the camp, about 200 patients were examined for cataract and other eye related problems.
Free medicines were also provided to the patients.
