BJYM to initiate legal action against former DG AR

Imphal, September 10 2024: Vehemently condemning the statement made by former Assam Rifles Director General Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair in a TV channel that there was no incident of aerial bombing from drones nor firing of long range rockets by Kuki militants in Manipur, BJYM State unit has stated that it would initiate legal against the former Director General Assam Rifles.

Speaking to media persons at the Nityaipat Chuthek office of BJP Manipur Pradesh today, BJYM State unit vice-president Th Chandramani asserted that people are witness to the fact that Kuki militants bombed civilians from high-tech drones and fired long range rockets.

It is a matter of grave concern that the former DG AR deliberately overlooked this fact and made fabricated statements.

Wondering why the former DG AR made untruthful statements when there is ample evidence of Kuki militants using weaponised drones and long range rockets, Th Chandramani asked if Lt Gen Pradeep Chandran Nair has any hidden agenda.

He should come out with a convincing clarification at the earliest, Chandramani added.
