Imphal, July 10 2014: A Manipuri woman who was working as a Nurse at KTC Hospital, Gabhapur, Kolkata was found hung to death inside her rented room yesterday.

Konjengbam Ongbi Haobijam Nirupama (27) w/o Konjengbam Nitin of Singjamei Chingamathak was found hung inside her room at around 11 pm yesterday and she died on the way to hospital, informed a source.

Nitin too worked at the same hospital as Male Nurse and their rented is around 2.5 Kms away from the hospital.

Nitin and Nirupama were living together with their kid.

One younger brother of Nitin also lives in Kolkata.

It is reported that Nitin and Nirupama used to quarrel every now and then over Nitin's extramarital affair with a Bengali nurse who is also working at the same hospital.

In May this year, Nirupama came back to her parental home at Moirang.

Nitin family took her back to her husband's place after sometime.

In connection with the death of Nirupama, Nitin has been pulled up by a police team from Gakuria police station, added the source.
