No NSCN-IM representatives turned up today for the meeting with the High Powered Committee (HPC) constituted by the Government of Nagaland.
Last month the HPC had issued a 'notice of summon' to various Naga underground outfits in connection with the 'illegal and multiple taxation' .
The notice of summon said that the HPC is enquiring into illegal and multiple taxation by various factions of Naga Political Groups (NPGs) as it has come to light through evidences that the following 'Naga political groups' (NPGs) are indulging in illegal and multiple taxation.
The Naga outfits are NSCN (IM), GPRN/NSCN (Khole-Kitovi group), NSCN (K), NNC (Non-Accordist), NNC (Accordist), FGN (Accordist) and FGN (Non-Accordist) .
Each outfit has been asked to appear before the HPC at Police Complex, Chumukedima, Dimapur from April 10 onwards (one day for each group) .
The notice of summon issued by HPC chairman Justice HK Sema said the hearing of the aforesaid mentioned outfits are necessary so as to give them the opportunity to rebut the evidence appearing against them.
"A copy of the notice be furnished to the Superintendents of Police of all the districts with a direction to serve the notice to the NPGs in their respective district and return the notice," said the notice of summon.
