Body found at Warok Tera Makhong

Decomposed body of a man was discovered today at a gorge at Warok Tera Makhong near Karpu Shungba village under Yairipok police station, Imphal East district.
Police suspected that the corpse was disposed there after the man was killed somewhere.
The corpse was found lying just 10 feet away from the road in a bushy area with the face on the ground.
Both his hands were found tied with a plastic rope.
The neck was also strangled using a piece of cloth and the hairs just above the forehead was shaved.
It is suspected that the man was killed and abandoned there about 4/5 days back.
As the body had started decomposing, injury marks, if any, could not be seen.
The individual who appeared to be a tribal man in his 30's had roundish face, had short hairs, was wearing a white T-shirt, black underwear and shocks.
He was not wearing any pants and his ears were not pierced.
Police have retrieved the corpse and deposited it at JNIMS mortuary.
