DESAM to 'root out' corruption in education

Claiming that the education sector in Manipur is critically prone to corruption, Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur, DESAM has vowed to 'root out' corruption in education.
An "Anti-Corruption Cell, DESAM" has been set up with the primary objective to fight against many faces of corruption in education, a release said on Tuesday.
It said that the cell had been established after a serious reflection by the executive committee of Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur.
With former DESAM President LC Santosh as its chairman, the incumbent president of the alliance M Angamba has been appointed as convener of the new Anti-Corruption Cell, the release informed.
It said wiping out corruption from the education sector with the people's support would be the first priority of the cell.
DESAM further appealed to all to be in contact with the cell's chairman and convenor to join the fight against corruption.
