Thoubal, August 06 2015: Endorsing the 48-hour bandh imposed by the JCILPS Students Wing, a large number of bandh supporters came out and blocked all roads in Thoubal area today, reports our correspondent.

Thoubal Keithel, Yairipok Keithel, Wangjing Keithel remained close throughout the bandh.

Residents of Yairipok area came out in large number and shouted slogans against the manhandling of girl students by police personnel.

Protesters also demanded the enforcement of ILP in the State and to punish the police personnel involved in the killing of Sapam Robinhood.

Altogether 4 passenger autos and 10 two wheelers have been reportedly damaged by bandh supporters at Kakching Lamkhai, Khongjom, Khongjom War Memorial gate, Thoubal Bazar, Haokha, Kiyam and Waithou.
