Imphal, December 05 2011:
The Blooming Manipur Project organised by European Manipuri Association (EMA) has started flower plantation at the outside pillars of historic 'Ima Keithel' of
Khwairamband.
As first initiative of the project, the volunteers of EMA started the plantation by putting two flower pots at each pillars.
Blooming Manipur is inspired by the 'Britain in Bloom' concept, a campaign which has made Britain one of the most beautiful island Nations.
Beyond the beautiful flowers and gardens, the campaign has done wonders for community cohesion.
The campaign has also managed to get communities to participate in keeping the towns and cities beautiful, increase civic sense of pride and creating a sense of belongingness to their streets and neighbourhoods.
