ZSOM condemns Bendramai firing incident

Senapati, June 05 2022: The Zeme Students' Organisation Manipur (ZSOM) has strongly condemned the firing incident that took place on May 31, 2022 at Bendramai local ground, Senapati District.

In a release, ZSOM termed the incident "unfortunate & unacceptable" and condemned the firing of guns in public areas.

Calling the attempt to terrorize the peace loving Zeme people as immature, the organisation urged all responsible for the incident to come out and clarify over the incident.

It also appealed to all right thinking citizens and organisations to strongly condemn such violence while urging the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits at the earliest.

The student body urged the authorities concerned to take up preventive measures including setting up of a police station at Bendramai.

ZSOM further highlighted the lack of basic medical facilities in Tousem Sub-Division (Tamenglong District) and urged the Government to look into the matter at the earliest to prevent any unfortunate incidents.
