Senapati, November 04 2023:
Several trucks have been stranded along Imphal-Dimapur road as the economic blockade called by the All Naga Stu-dents' Association Manipur (ANSAM) entered its second day on Saturday.
The economic blockade began last night at 6 as the Government failed to restore internet services within the stipulated time they served.
As per reports collected from different police stations in Senapati, as many as 145 trucks are stranded in between Khuzama (Naga-land) and Mao Gate.
However, after public complaints from the border town of Khuzama, 71 trucks headed to Mao-Tadubi areas to ease congestion at border areas.
Reportedly few trucks are also stranded at Tadubi areas while nine Tata trucks were found parked in between Lairouching and Senapati police station check point.
Some trucks are also parked near Mayangkhang areas.
Notably, State Government and ANSAM signed a MoA on October 26 wherein the Government assured to restore internet connectivity within five days.
