New Delhi, September 03 2014:
Hundreds of youths under the aegis of the Naga Students Union Delhi (NSUD) took out a rally and public meeting on the streets of Delhi today noon condemning the Ukhrul incident of August 30 and demanded legal trial against those accused of killing of Ramkashimg Vashi and Mayopam Ramror.
The rallyist called for resignation of State Chief Minister O Ibobi whose effigy was also burnt to register their protest against the State's action in Ukhrul which they termed it unprovoked.
The youth demanded for immediate revocation of 144 CrPC from Ukhrul.

In a memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister, the President, Ministry of Home Affairs, the National Human Rights Commission and Chief Justice of Manipur, the NSUD alleged that the immediate crack down by IRB and Manipur Commandos was at the cost of public order.
The ulterior motive of the State Government is to usurp the rights of the Nagas in violation of the Art 371 C of Indian constitution and Hill Areas Committee Order 1972, the NSUD asserted.
The NSUD called for ardent intervention by the Centre and expedition of an honourable settlement with the Naga people.
The youth rallyist also decried disruption of educational institutions and normal daily life.
"Animosity and war like situation had developed in the military regime of the Manipur" the rally alleged.
The conduct of the Manipur Government and the irresponsible act of the Government at the Centre is rapidly pushing the Nagas to rise up in open civil insurrection and uprising, thereby jeopardizing the overall political environment and peaceful co-existence of the hills and valley people in Manipur.
The memorandum urged to respect the autonomy of the Nagas and called for expediting the peace process between the Nagas and GoI.
Calling for a peaceful separation from Manipur, the memorandum demanded for a public apology form the Manipur Government.
