Low count continues with 32 new cases

Keeping in line with the gradual dip in fresh COVID-19 infections since the last few days, the State reported 32 new cases in the last 24 hours and registered a single day positivity rate of 4.7 per cent.
Of the 32 new cases, 11 are from Imphal West alone while the positivity rate of Noney was 100 per cent as the only sample sent from the district tested Covid positive.
The fresh cases were confirmed at RIMS (3) and other testing centres (29) and they are residents of Imphal East (4), Imphal West (11), Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (3), Kakching (2), Noney (1), Ukhrul (3), Senapati (2) and Chandel (1) .
As 57 persons were discharged from home isolation (45), RIMS (6), SHRI (4), Tamenglong (1) and Chandel (1) after recuperation today, the number of active cases has reduced to 431 while the recovery rate stands at 98.16 per cent with 1,36,651 recovered so far.
The State distributed 134 D-type and six B-type oxygen cylinders to different health facilities in Manipur and administered 3931 Covid vaccine doses yesterday.
At least 61 Covid beds are vacant at RIMS (40) and JNIMS (21) .
Till yesterday, at least 62.22 per cent of the total eligible population for vaccination had taken the first dose while another 54.03 per cent had
taken the second.
