Non-Congress parties form People's Democratic Alliance

With a view to form the next Government in the State, a grand alliance of Congress parties christened People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) has been formed.
Members of the new alliance include constituent members People's Democratic Front, Trinamool Congress, CPI, MSCP, NPP, NPF and LJP.
A decision to this end was adopted in a joint meeting held at the quarter of P Parijat this evening.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Dr M Nara said that the grand alliance was formed keeping in view the necessity of setting up a non-Congress Government in the State for welfare of people of both the hills and valley.
To work out a Common Minimum Programme for the alliance, a nine-member consultative committee has also been set up.
Members of the consultative committee are Dr Nimaichand (MPP), Ksh Devbratta (MSCP), Dr M Nara (CPI), Ch Ajang Khongsai (NPP), M Tombi (JD-U), Somi Keishing (NPF), Y Iboyaima (TC), K Saratkumar (NCP) and Ksh Santa (CP-M), informed Dr Nara.
