Ayush medicines and Covid relief items distributed

Continuing its relentless activities to combat the COVID-19 pandemic effectively in the State, Committee on COVID-19 Manipur in association with Directorate of Ayush distributed Ayush 64 tablets, face masks and hand sanitizers to various Covid Care Centres (CCC), Community Home Isolation Centres (CHICs), local Covid task forces, local clubs and meira paibis across the State today.
The items were distributed in Churachandpur, Bishnupur, Thoubal and Imphal East districts today, said a press release by the committee.
The team of the committee also interacted with the volunteers of CCCs, CHICs, local Covid task forces, local clubs and meira paibis regarding the various Covid precautionary measures taken up by them.
The committee which is formed by prominent CSOs of the State viz CADA, UPF, NIPCO, AMSU, UPACO and MAPI Council has been working earnestly to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic in the State and have distributed around 4050 (four thousand fifty) Ayush-64 tablets today.
Acknowledging the selfless contributions of media personnel of the State during the grim situation of COVID-19, People's Task Force for COVID-19 donated face masks, hand sanitizers and Ayush medicines to print and electronic media personnel yesterday.
The task force in a statement appealed to the people to strictly follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour in view of the surge in Covid positive cases and fatality in the State and also urged the people to get vaccinated to stay protected from COVID-19.The task force also earnestly appealed to the Government to take up stringent measures to reduce the mortality rate due to COVID-19 in the State.
Patsoi
Social worker, Wahengbam Dineshchandra donated Covid relief materials to Patsoi Police Station to help in combating COVID-19 effectively yesterday.
The relief items included face masks, hand sanitizers, PPE kits, sodium hypochlorite and.
hand gloves were handed to the OC of Patsoi PS.
It may be noted that he has also donated Covid relief materials to Imphal PS, Covid Care Centre (CCC) opened at Ayush Hospital, Keirao through SDO of Porompat and at CCC of Kongba Standard College.
Khurai
Khuraijam Ratankumar, the intending candidate from Khurai AC in the upcoming State Assembly Election distributed edible items to households at Haotal yesterday.
He has been helping the people of Khurai AC ever since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic and has distributed edible items, Covid relief materials and medicines to many households.
He further assured of extending best possible help to the people of Khurai AC and will work for the welfare of the people selflessly.
Pourabi
Social worker Elangbam Sovid who is also the chairman of Arambai Group donated relief materials to Pourabi today where there are around 143 Covid positive cases at present.
He handed over the relief materials to COVID-19 Joint Task Force Pourabi and the members of the task force distributed it to the households within the containment zones.
President of the task force, K Kalachand thanked Elangbam Sovid for his noble deeds thereby helping the people during such a grim situation.
Further he sought the attention of the Government in view of the surge in Covid positive cases in the area and further informed that entry and exit of people in Pourabi area will be prohibited for the time being.
On the other hand, under the aegis of MLA of Khundrakpam AC, Th Lokeshor, members of Khundrakpam Kendra Development Committee donated 3 bags of salt, 15 bags of rice, 4 bags of potatoes, 130 bottles of half litre edible oil, 3 bags of dried peas and 132 soaps to COVID-19 Joint Task Force Pourabi to be distributed to the households of Pourabi village yesterday.
The residents of Pourabi village have been severely impacted by COVID-19 pandemic with surge in Covid positive cases in the area and imposition of containment measures.
