Contest peacefully, urges Joykisan

Imphal, January 31 2022: Thangmeiband AC MLA Kh Joykisan has said that intimidating non-Manipuri mino- rities and JDU workers in Thangmeiband AC will never work and appealed all the political parties to contest the election peacefully.

Kh Joykisan, who recently joined Janata Dal United (JDU), said this while welcoming former BJP Thangmeiband Mandal president Sinam Saratjit to JDU at a event held at Heikham Kala Community hall at Thangmeiband Yum-nam Leikai today.

Speaking at the event, Kh Joykisan said it is very unfortunate that the Government has not been able to punish the culprits involved in the killing of one Ashutosh Prasad, who was found dead on January 28 with multiple stab wounds in Thoubal and added that the Government should work towards safeguarding the minorities and punish the people involved in the murder.

He also urged the Government to check the reports regarding threats to non-Manipuris in Thangal Keithel and show them that there is a Government that does not allow such injustice to thrive.

Kh Joykisan also appealed like minded people to join the party as JDU will play an important role in forming the Government in the coming election.
