Bridges inaugurated

As a new year gift, Chief Minister N Biren virtually inaugurated two bridges at Chandel district today.
The two bridges are constructed over Maha River at Komlathabi and Liwa Sarei in Chandel district at the cost of Rs 5.4 crore and the same have been christened as Maha Bridge and Liwa Sarei Bridge.
Addressing a public meeting at Liwa Sarei virtually, the Chief Minister said that there will be no development when there is no peace and people's support.
Saying that opposition by certain people in implementing developmental projects caused untold inconvenience to the Government, N Biren thanked the people who reside nearby the two bridges for their cooperation in the project.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the contribution of social worker SS Olish in implementing the project and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari for their approval.
N Biren praised Krishna Constructions Company (KCC) and its local coordinator Milan Khaling for completing the project in just seven months, instead of the speculated 18 months.
Saying that Manipur is developing fast, N Biren informed that Chandel is one of the aspirational districts of Manipur.
Maintaining that Chandel District Hospital now has an oxygen plant and other facilities, N Biren said that the South East Manipur College has also been recognised by the Government.
The Chief Minister announced that one 7-A side astro turf football ground will be constructed at Monshang Pantha.
Urging the people of Chandel to take benefit of Government schemes through their Deputy Commissioner even after the election code of conduct becomes effective, N Biren said that Chandel has the potential to develop as a tourist site.
N Biren then appealed to all to elect BJP to power again to develop the State furthermore.
