PM Modi to visit Manipur on Jan 4 to inaugurate host of projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting the state on January 4 to inaugurate over 10 developmental projects, said chief minister, N.Biren Singh.
The chief minister was speaking to media persons during an inspection of the ongoing construction works of the Civil Secretariat at Mantripukhri, Imphal East.
The chief minister said preparations are on full swing for a grand welcome of the Prime Minister during his visit.
"We are not fully satisfied with the current work progress as only around 150 labourers are working on it.
So we have planned to add another 150 labourers within a week to make the construction more progressive.
With the addition of extra labourers we believe that the construction work will be completed before last week of February 2019 as the government is planning to inaugurate it before the upcoming Lok Sabha election," said Biren.
The chief minister was accompanied by works minister, Th.Biswajit, MLA, Ksh.
Biren, chief secretary, Suresh Babu, PWD chief engineer, Kh.
Temba and other officials.
Later they inspected the preparation works at Hatta Kangjeibung, where the Prime Minister will be addressing the gatherings.
