Demand Committee denounces

Imphal, July 30 2022: Demand Committee on the construction of Ethnic Heritage Park, Keibul Lamjao has denounced the actions of the Police towards the peaceful protesters who have been urging the Government not to shift the site of Ethno Heritage Park from Keibul Lamjao.

The demand committee in a press release reacted strongly against the actions of the Police of hurling mock bombs, tear gas, lathi charge etc on the protesters who have bee staging peaceful protest without posing any harm to private or Government properties.

While stating that the demand committee has been protesting for around a month urging the Government to construct the ethnic heritage park in Keibul Lamjao as assured by the Chief Minister earlier, the committee expressed concern on the alleged activities of some individuals and organisations who are trying to mislead the masses and divert the cause of the demand committee.

Further the committee cautioned visitors/tourists not to visit the Keibul Lamjao National Park until an amicable solution is brought failing which they will be held responsible for any unwanted outcome.
