CM Biren greets on Irabot Day

Imphal, September 29 2024: Chief minister N Biren has extended his best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of Irabot Day.

In his message, CM Biren stated that Hijam Irabot was a towering figure and multi-faceted personality.

"He was a freedom fighter, a revolutionary social activist, a gifted poet, and an accomplished scholar.

His contributions in the fields of literature, sports, and social uplift of the downtrodden are out of the ordinary.

His efforts towards maintaining oneness and emotional integrity among people of different communities are still fondly remembered, and people lovingly called him Lamyanba Irabot" .

"On the 128th birth anniversary of our beloved leader, let us pledge to follow the footsteps of Lamyanba Irabot, for a new Manipur," he said.
