Locals draw Govt attention to waterlogged road

Imphal, August 25 2024:
Residents of Lamphelpat area are facing severe inconvenience as the road from CSIR Lamphelpat, near Kendriya Vidyalaya, to Trevi Hospital has been waterlogged for nearly three weeks.
According to Kombirei Housing Cooperative Society Limited president Brajachand, the flooded road has made it impossible for two-wheelers to pass, significantly disrupting normal chores apart from concerns about outbreak of waterborne diseases.
Brajachand has called on the government to address the situation urgently by pumping out the water through the Samushang Uku.
The cooperative society has submitted a letter to the minister concerned seeking assistance, he said.
Similarly, residents of Grace Colony in Thangmeiband Tarung have also submitted a letter to the minister, urging immediate action to address the flood issue.
