O Lukhoi stresses on need for adhering to Covid SOPs

Thoubal, May 24 2021: One can protect themselves from the ongoing deadly global pandemic of COVID-19 if one strictly adheres to guidelines and SOPs issued by World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) since there is no cure for COVID-19 at present.

The above statement was made by Minister of Agriculture , Oinam Lukhoi who has been appointed as Cabinet Minister in-charge of Thoubal district while speaking to media persons during an inspection visit to check the activities and measures taken up in Thoubal district to combat COVID-19 pandemic.

O Lukhoi continued that the oxygen plant at District Hospital will be installed within a week's time since the engineering team to carry out the installation work is engaged at the moment in the installation work of the oxygen plant at Churachandpur District Hospital.

Later a meeting was held in the conference hall of DC Thoubal attended by MLA of Wangjing Tentha, Paonam Brojen, DC of Thoubal, Rangmei Rang Peter, SP of Thoubal Dr S Ibomcha, CMO of Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul and District Level Officers and discussed regarding the issue of COVID-19 in the district and other developmental works.
