KCP-PWG refutes charges against Mathoi

Imphal, July 23 2024: Apart from dismissing charges levelled against its well-wisher Mathoi in connection with the killing of one Prithvi, the armed Kangleipak Communist Party-People's War Group (KCP-PWG) said that time has lapsed to identify reactionary elements.

According to a KCP-PWG statement issued by media coordinator Lenin Meitei, Mathoi was allowed by it to be village volunteer and accordingly joined a group of village volunteers.

However, fabricated and unfounded charges were levelled against Mathoi alias Thoi through a post uploaded on the facebook page named kep me progressive on July 17 regarding the killing of one Prithvi, the statement said and termed the charges against Mathoi as baseless.

The outfit also clarified that no raising day celebration of the outfit was held on April 14, 2024 and no cadre of the outfit joined the surrender 'drama' conducted by the government in 2023 .
