Congress masquerading as BJP workers: Khangabok Mandal

Thoubal, August 21 2021: While accusing Congress party in Khangabok AC of trying to malign and destroy the unity of BJP by masquerading as its workers, BJP Khangabok Mandal president L Tomba Khuman has urged all concerned to remain vigilant in this regard.

Addressing a press meet at the Mandal office on Saturday, Tomba conveyed that people, who claimed to have left BJP and joined Congress and were given a warm reception on Friday by local MLA Okram Surjakumar at Uyal Wangbal, are not related with BJP Khangabok Mandal in any way.

They are, in reality, people associated with congress but posing as that of BJP instead.

He continued: "The recep-tion event is rather a play orchestrated by Congress.

The so-called ex BJP OBC Morcha Khangabok Mandal president Thiyam Kumar Singh and vice president Mayanglambam Ibomcha have been working for Congress behind the scene and not known by the Mandal at all.

The Mandal only knows BJP OBC L Shyamo as the president of Morcha Khangabok Mandal".

Further conveying that Thiyam Kumar himself confessed to using letterheads provided by people working in the shadows of the Congress; Tomba also denied any connection with the social media page, Athokpara Yuba Morcha opened in the name of Khangabok Mandal BJP.

All these are ploys woven by Congress, he contended.

Tomba then appealed to the BJP higher authorities to look into the matter, while informing that the Mandal is planning to take legal action against those responsible.

The press meet was also attended by BJP OBC Morcha Khangabok Mandal president L Shyamo, secretary M Nehru and other office bearers and youth members.

He also urged all those living under the jurisdiction of the Mandal who adore BJP but work in other parties to seek the approval of higher ups of BJP before joining the party.

Tomba asserted those who want to join BJP must have prior approval of state, district and mandal presidents and advised such individuals to register themselves as party's members through online and demonstrate their sincerity and responsibility to work for enhancing profile of the party.
