AR distributes educational resources

Kangpokpi, February 21 2024:
In a bid to support Students amidst the challenging circumstances, the 19 Assam Rifles distributed educational resources at the L Hengjol Community Education Centre, Kangpokpi district on Wednesday.
Led by commandant colonel Karan Sandhu, the 19 Assam Rifles distributed over 250 sets of textbooks to students from Class 1 to X apart from two computer sets with printers.
Acknowledging the hurdles faced by students, Colonel Sandhu stressed the importance of access to educational resources, while underlining, "It is our responsibility to empower young minds and enable them to reach new heights of potential".
The distribution function also had the participation of members of Kuki Inpi South West Sadar Hills, KSO Moltam Block, Kuki Women Union, village chiefs, villagers, and students.
Lalboi Haokip, president of KSO Moltam Block, acknowledged that the Friends of the Hills' support has made an indelible mark on the community's educational landscape.
It is worth mentioning that the Community Education Centre was established by CSOs to address the educational requirements of students following ethnic unrest that rendered many institutions inoperative.
KSO Churachandpur, KSO Sangaikot, and KSO Gunpi Block have similarly established community education centres in their respective regions.
